Lafayette Master Landscaping started with one mower and a borrowed trailer in 2018. Today it runs mowing routes, a hardscape crew and a drainage crew, and Dale still answers the phone some days.
One Mower, One Trailer, Nine Years of Greens
Dale Guidry spent nine years as a greenskeeper at a Lafayette country club. He learned that a lawn is a living thing: height, water, sharp blades and timing matter more than any fertilizer bag. In 2018 he bought a used mower and a trailer and started cutting yards on Saturdays.
Neighbors asked for edging, then for beds, then for a patio and a drain for the corner that always flooded. The crew grew with the jobs. Today it handles lawn care routes for homes, HOAs and businesses, plus installations like patios, drainage, turf and lighting. We now run 6 lawn routes and 2 project crews, and our crews care for more than 95 commercial properties.
Every crew member wears a uniform and is trained on the equipment they run. We do the work ourselves, we carry commercial insurance, and we bring the estimate to your house. Honestly, we think the best crews are boring: same day, same truck, same people. Our crew has grown from 2 people in 2018 to 14 today, and we still mow some of the same lawns we started with.
What We Promise Every Customer
A Price in Writing
The number on the estimate is the number on the bill unless you change the job.
Honest Advice
If the lawn needs aeration and not a whole new sod job, we say so, even though sod pays more.
An Insured, Uniformed Crew
General liability and workers’ compensation on every job. Certificates on request.
A Clean Job Site
Clippings blown, debris hauled, gates latched. We leave the yard better than we found it.
The Owner
“I spent nine years making a golf course look like nobody touched it. A lawn is the same job. The best compliment is when the neighbors can’t tell what we did, only that the yard looks right.”

Book a Free Yard Walk-Through
Most jobs start with a walk around the yard. We look at where the water goes, how the sun moves across the beds and what you want to use the space for, then put a price in writing. You decide at your own pace, and nothing is owed for the visit.

What Lafayette Says About Us
Michelle D.Youngsville Paver patioOur back patio was a muddy slab of nothing. They drew it out, laid pavers and ran lights along the edge. Three weeks later we had our first cookout out there, and the base has not moved after two hard rains.
Terrence B.Scott French drainWater stood against the side of the house every time it rained. They put in a French drain and a catch basin at the low corner. First storm after, the yard drained in an hour. Fair price and a tidy crew.
Cheryl & Paul H.Broussard Lawn care planWe switched to their every-week plan in the spring. Same crew, same day, and the edges are sharp every time. The St. Augustine finally looks like it belongs to someone who cares.
Gary L.Lafayette Commercial groundsI manage a 60-unit apartment complex off Johnston. Mowing, beds and the sprinkler checks are all one invoice now. They show up on the day they said, which is the whole job.
